Product Overview
Thin Layer WS₂ Dispersion is a low-concentration colloidal suspension of tungsten disulfide nanosheets featuring a well-defined layered structure. This transition metal dichalcogenide exhibits a characteristic “sandwich” configuration with tungsten atoms covalently bonded between sulfur layers, stacked via van der Waals forces. We prepare this dispersion through lithium intercalation methodology, using n-butyllithium to create an intercalation compound that expands in solvent and undergoes ultrasonic exfoliation. The resulting nanosheets maintain a 1T-2H hybrid crystal structure with approximately 60% 1T phase content (batch-dependent).
