Product Overview
Thin Layer Nano MoS₂ Dispersion is a ready-to-use colloidal suspension of molybdenum disulfide nanosheets, featuring a two-dimensional layered structure analogous to graphene. While MoS₂ exists in three crystalline phases (1T, 2H, 3R), the material predominantly adopts the stable 2H phase with a characteristic hexagonal sandwich structure. We synthesize this dispersion using a lithium intercalation approach, where n-butyllithium inserts lithium ions between MoS₂ layers. The resulting intercalation compound expands in aqueous solvent and is exfoliated via ultrasonication to yield thin-layer dispersions. The nanosheets possess a 1T-2H hybrid crystal structure, with approximately 60% 1T phase content (batch-dependent).
