Product Overview
Thin Layer Nano WS₂ Dispersion is a ready-to-use colloidal suspension of tungsten disulfide nanosheets with a well-defined layered structure. This transition metal dichalcogenide features a characteristic “sandwich” configuration where tungsten atoms are covalently bonded between two sulfur layers, with multiple layers stacked via weak van der Waals forces. We synthesize this material through a lithium intercalation process: using n-butyllithium to insert lithium ions between WS₂ layers, forming an intercalation compound that expands in solvent and is exfoliated via ultrasonication. The resulting dispersion exhibits a 1T-2H hybrid crystal structure with approximately 60% 1T phase content (batch-dependent).
